The end to the decade is about to be drawn
Makes me remember its dawn.
So much happened in this time
Makes me look back into life’s rhyme
It was the time before Y2K
Firms struggling and hoping there computers are okay.
About to finish my first degree
Myself dreaming of a future with lots of goodie.
Life showed the sinusoidal wave of up and down
Education, job, marriage, kid or recession.
Lots were achieved and lots lost
Changes taught me a lot of life’s actual cost.
Brings me today again to the decades new dawn
Again with a bag full of dreams to be drawn
Hoping again for the lots of goodies
With experience of the last decade as my “birdies”.
